Skilled labour shortage and affordable housing quality

In order to meet challenges such as a shortage of skilled workers and the creation of affordable housing, the company Hörl & Hartmann from Dachau (Germany) - after building a plant in Upper Austria - commissioned Redblocsystems to build another plant in Vorarlberg (Austria). This plant was commissioned in 2023 and offers a number of innovative features and the latest redbloc technology, which enables the efficient production of high-quality prefab parts.

Efficient production with innovative features

The fully automated production of this Redbloc Advanced line produces exact wall lengths, which is made possible by the automatic production of fitting pieces. In addition, up to 6 different formats can be used for the production of prefab elements, which offers great flexibility. For example, height compensation bricks but also special window attachment bricks are processed in the plant. With only 5 employees, an impressive 320 m² of prefabricated parts can be produced per shift. The plant also has a finishing centre where the walls are trimmed, electrical sockets, pipes and roof slopes are integrated. This optimises the process, ensures the quality of the finished parts and further increases the added value.

Special highlights

Another highlight of this Redbloc Advanced line is the intelligent, reusable lift-off system. This system makes it possible to transport the finished parts quickly and efficiently after production. Thanks to the bonding technology used, the prefab elements are ready for transport just one hour after production. What makes this plant particularly remarkable is the fact that it can process not only large-sized ceramic bricks, but also aerated concrete bricks, pumice bricks, sand-lime bricks and similar mineral building blocks. This expands our production possibilities and enables us to meet our customers' needs even better.

We are proud to have handed over this new fully automatic Redbloc Advanced prefab plant to our customers Hörl & Hartmann. It not only brings numerous advantages, but also represents a further step towards efficiency and innovation in the construction sector.

About Redblocsystems

In 2003, Redblocsystems developed the innovative redbloc technology for the prefabrication of wall elements made of solid mineral building materials and makes this officially tested system available in the form of licenses. The wall elements can be made to measure on an industrial scale from large bricks, sand-lime bricks, aerated concrete, concrete blocks and other mineral building materials. Fully automatic, all year round and highly profitable.
