Redbloc - Fully automated wall construction

27.07.2015

AGS Engineering tells about the complete automation project of the Redbloc precast production in Plattling/Germany: How a wall production plant produces individual wall elements for solid brick precast houses with millimeter precision.

The innovative Redbloc precast system, developed by Markus Pichler, has been successful on the house construction market throughout Europe for around ten years. Whether commercial property or single-family house - more and more builders and developers rely on the smart prefabricated concept, which combines the advantages of a conventionally built solid brick house with the efficiency of the widely used prefabricated timber frame construction method. Similar to the latter, the millimeter-precise walls produced in the factory are quickly moved on site so that the complete shell is in place in just a few hours.

The globally unique, robot-based production system for solid precast elements has been refined in detail over the years. The latest development is located in the newly built Redbloc plant in Plattling, Bavaria. AGS Engineering was responsible for the entire automation project. The Siemens Solution Partner mastered all control and drive requirements based on the fail-safe technology CPU "Simatic S7- 317T" and decentralized "ET 200SP-F" peripheral units, as well as "Sinamics" drives. In addition, AGS Engineering from Ried im Innkreis developed the sophisticated wall calculation software (MBS), which communicates its results as control data directly to the central PLC via Ethernet.
